A New Bike
I bought a new bike yesterday to replace the one that I had stolen a couple of years ago. I wanted a bike that I could hop on for a quick trip around White Rock Lake with (I live about 2 miles from the lake which has a nice bike path all around it) as well as get on and do some unpaved wooded trails.
The bike is what they call a 'comfort' bike which is basically a hybrid cross between a mountain bike and a road bike. The Giant Sedona LX favors more mountain bike characteristics with wider tires, front shocks and a bit of a larger more rugged frame. Interesting technology (to me) that is new to me on this bike are disk brakes and tires that apparently repair themselves... hmmmm... think I'll still bring my repair kit...
Next up is finding a mountain bike for Shoko and going to hit some trails. Pat may even come!
Here's a pic of the bike but mine is in black.

Wait... I bought a new bike yesterday to replace the one that I had stolen a couple of years ago. Your bike was stolen? or the one that you stole had to be returned? - snicker -
Jeff, let me know how the whole disc brake thing works. I still use my grabbers on my road hybrid bike, and have been curious about actual user information about those brakes.

I was wondering if anyone would catch that!
I'll let you know - Usually I do more research on things like this before I buy but this time I didn't. What I did like is the fact that it's much easier to get the wheels off without the brakes in the way. It does seem like a 'cleaner' design, but we'll see. I could always adjust normal brakes, but I don't know how to adjust these (if they need adjusting). I guess I have some reading to do.....
