DFW Off-Road Trail Map
I had this little booklet with about 12 mapped-out off-road bike trails in the DFW area that I bought about 10 years ago. I tried to find an updated one and was told by the bike stores that they don't make this anymore and others have been looking for it. It was really handy and even graded the trails much like a ski map - beginner, intermediate, and advanced.
I thought I had lost it but was elated yesterday when I found it in the most unlikely place. In my bookcase. Huh. A logical place. Who'd of thunk THAT?
It's kind of beaten up, but I'm excited to have it. I'll bet other trail bikers are jealous of my little old beat up trail guide!

You may want to make a photocopy of that book when you want to go for a ride. Then take the photocopy with ya. If you can't find a replacement, it'd really spit if you lose it, or if it got messed up while you're on a ride.

Brad - I think you are right and the guide IS pretty tattered. Luckily I do have a scanner at home so I will be archiving these.

If you're gonna scan 'em, you could even put them on up on a site for other riders who aren't as fortunate as yourself? Granted, I live in NJ, and there's a lot of trail guides for riding here, most put out by our state park authority, but they do make them available as PDFs on their different sites.
You'd not just be a PodCaster, you'd be a mapcaster... or something cool, like that.

That's a great thing to have, I'm sure. I tried mountain biking once with my dad, but we didn't pick a very good trail and it was rocky and steep.
Any way I was just wondering, in one of your shows you mentioned something about coming to California and podcastin live. Is that still going to happen? If it is when and where? It would be cool to get some autographs and stuff.

Hi Julie,
Yes - we will be in California as it looks right now. I'm not quite sure of the schedule but I will post it as soon as we know more! We are scheduled to podcast from the Podcast Pickle booth for the two days of the conference November 11 and 12. Would love to have to come out and meet us!
As I said, I'll post more about the schedule when I am sure of the details.
