Pat drops IJL, falls in love this weekend
I met with the IJL folks yesterday and decided not to renew. I'll talk more about it on the podcast.
While I was home in Alabama, I watched CNN with my mom to check out the hurricane status.
I fell in love with one of the newscasters. He had gray hair, looked distinguished and I thought he was some "old" guy.
Well, he's Anderson Cooper and he's only 37! My future husband is the son of Gloria Vanderbilt and graduated from Yale with a degree in Poly Sci.
Wish me luck!

Anderson Cooper... ahhh... I could see how he could be seen as cute. He strikes me as just one more TV pretty boy. Sure, Cooper's got degrees, but I remember some idiot who graduated Yale and now has power over international nuclear death...
You know, if you're looking for a local boy, there's Lance Armstrong. He's not only a Texan, but he's buff. Sheryl Crow could easily be snapped by some group of pro-Pat, anti-Sheryl minions and your way would be clear. He's about to retire, too... so he could spend more time meeting your needs than riding his bike.

Brad, you are soooo fabulous! Yes, a man that has a lot of time to meet my needs is exactly what I need. Everyone who knows me well knows I say "it's all about me and my needs"!
Good point about the degree, by the way. Still Bush bought his degree and I am hoping Coopy (that's my pet name for him) earned his. Again, there are likely millions of reasons to be in love with Coopy.
Now, let me get working on my Lance introduction....

My daughter has met him, and I've the picture to prove it... but she was much younger when it happened. Lance does promos for Bristol-Myers Squibb, my former soul-owner, and he came to give a talk and appearance.
My daughter was reluctant to ask her question in front of a bunch of people, but she chased him down in the hall, and asked about something he'd done a couple of Tours ago. He stopped for her, heard her question, and took the time to give her a reasoned response. As much as I can have a heterosexual crush on a guy, I've got one on Lance.

The one thing I will say about Lance is when we are all old and gray, we will be figuratively telling our grandkids, that we remember when Lance was winning races... I think he's a legend that will take a long long to replace.
